Gilbert Loomis built a pioneer steam car in 1896, but did not put it into production.[1]

Subsequently, Loomis built gasoline powered cars. His first cars built for sale used 5 hp Crest air-cooled engines. About 50 of these cars were made from 1901 onwards.

Loomis produced a line of automobile parts, including carburetors and mufflers.
